Corell is leaving the Federal government at the end of 1999. Corell
has been chair of the interagency Subcommittee on Global Change Research
that has responsibility for the US Global Change Research Program.
In this role, he has helped to nurture and oversee the many activities
making up the National Assessment.
Corell will begin two new appointments starting January 3, 2000.
First, an appointment as a Senior Fellow in the American Meteorological
